CAE Supporter: $8. each entry or $20. for three
Non-member: $12. each entry or $30. for three

*Cash prizes may be reduced if entry/sponsors monies are not adequate to cover cost of event
Four Categories
(1) Watercolor
(2) Oils & Acrylic
(3) Graphics: Pen & Ink, Charcoal, Pastel, Colored Pencil  &  Printmaking
(4) 3-Dimensional Works

Framing
All works must be framed with eyehook and wires for hanging.  No saw tooth hangers.  Height plus width or finished work (including frames) cannot exceed 80”.  The label (click here to download label) with information must be taped securely to back of work on the upper left-hand corner.

Eligibility
• Open to all artists over age 18
• Entries deadline is May 27th, 6 PM
No late entries will be accepted
• Each artist may enter up to two works in any category, with only three works per entire competition
• Work must be original, have been executed in the         last two years, and not previously exhibited in the Center for Art & Education (formally CCAA) adult competition
• Copies and work done under supervision (in classroom or workshop) will not be accepted
• All works must be ready to hang with eyehooks and wire

CAE will promote sales.  We encourage you to enter works that can be sold. 

Commission: CAE Supporters- 25%, Non-Supporters- 30%.

Awards Ceremony at 3 PM

Artwork Picked UP - June 23 & 24  10AM - 4PM

Removal
All work, including sold pieces, must remain at the Center for Art & Education throughout the entire show – no exceptions.  Work must be removed by June 24th.  Curator determines which works will be hung.

Protection
Every precaution will be taken in handling works of art, however, CAE will not be held responsible for loss or damage.  Your entry implies acceptance of all CAE policies and regulations.

2005 Adult Art Competition Judge

Charles Peer

Charles Peer received his MFA in painting and drawing from the University of Arkansas.  In 1979 Charles opened his studio on the historic Main Street in Van Buren Arkansas.  In 1990 he and his family moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas where he assumed a teaching position in the Department of Art and Design at John Brown University.  Peer continues to paint his native Arkansas landscapes and is challenged to prefect his skills as a pastel artist. 

Charles Peer has exhibited in galleries in Arkansas and Missouri.  He has served as a guest artist for many demonstrations and has juried numerous competitions.
